Onyx Room is a 3 level-dance club, one at street level and 2 below. This nightclub draws the ultra-cool which want to party with creative cocktails in hand and lots of eye candy placed all through the room. Different nights spec different music styles, from jazz to hip-hop and old-school. Typically, hip hop is played upstairs while home is played below ground. As a wonderful nightclub, Onyx Room has a dress code so skip the beachwear. VIP bottle service is accessible by reservation.

Polite Provisions serves up cocktails and classic USA fare in University Heights. Their big custom tap system not just specs eighteen craft beers on top, and 10 wines (white, red and rose), carbonated cocktails, non-carbonated spirituous cocktails, spirits and 1 tap of each – amaro, aperitif, vermouth and sherry. There is also 4 seltzer water draft handles and ice coffee on draft brewed with beans roasted just 4 blocks away at the domestically owned Coffee & Tea Collective. Moonshine Flats

Moonshine Flats is a ton of country thrill in the Gaslamp Quarter. It is one of 2 locations in San Diego to dance to country. The  ten-thousand square-foot place specs multiple levels, dozens of artistic elements, 5 bars throughout, adding the longest bar on the west coast spanning eighteen feet, San Diego biggest dance floor, 2 raised platforms for dance shows, a 6 x 6 raised dance pod and a moveable DJ booth, a big stage that hosts house bands in front of a floor-to-ceiling LED show.

Belly Up Tavern

There is a live music at club almost every night. Belly Up is not showy and has a more casual vibe, despite being a prize-winning nightspot. Up-and-coming artists as well as established legends in genre ranging from substitute rock, reggae, rock, and hip-hop to blues, jazz, folk, Latin and more perform here. Recent concerts contain the Rolling Stones and Red-Hot Chili Peppers. No dress code enforced other than do not forget to wear shoes.
